Collection for this tour needs to be from your hotel by 10am at the latest as the full tour takes approximately 6 hours, allowing for time to stop for a traditional Omani lunch*.
The tour starts with a drive up to Ayn Shaynawt, a beautiful natural spring. Your journey continues along a rather exhilarating ride through dense undergrowth where wild fig trees are abundant and the local nomadi keep their honey bees.
Pass through the villages of Zeek and Madinat Alhaq. Experience the dramatic changes in scenery from green hillsides to bright orange rugged barren landscape. Take in the breathtaking large sink hole Tawi A’teer, and Teiq Cave which is reputedly one of the largest caves in the world. Gaze down on to Wadi Darbat with its diverse vegetation, wildlife and spectacular waterfalls.
Stand on the highest point of Jabal Samhan and look down over the plains to Mirbat and beyond to the ocean. The view is spectacular.
Then travel down to the coast road passing through Sumahram home of the Queen of Sheba and Taqah to the old castle.
