Sumahram Falcon welcomes you to Salalah and the Dhofar region, famous for its beautiful landscapes, cool temperatures and frankincense. We offer a range of tours around Salalah and the surrounding area to the East and West.
The Half Day Tour
Half day tours can be organized for mornings or afternoons at times to suit the individual requirements of each group. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours. Our experienced guides will collect you from any of the local hotels. The first destination for the half day tour will be a drive up into the mountains North of Salalah to visit the Tomb of Nabi Ayoub (the Prophet to Job) set in the walled gardens of a mosque with spectacular views out over Jebel Nabi Ayoub.
From here you will be taken to Jarzeez Spring said to be one of the most beautiful springs in the Dhofar region. There are also caves to explore and shaded areas for relaxing. Next you will be driven west passing Salalah ports and on to the beautiful beach of Mughsayl, with it's natural blow holes spurting jets of water many meters into the air. On your return journey there will be opportunities to stop and view frankincense trees.
The Full Day Tour
Collection for the full day tour needs to be from your hotel at 9am at the latest.
This tour takes approximately 9 hours and incorporates lunch* at a restaurant serving traditional Omani food. The full day tour incorporates all the destinations of the half day tour, but the journey continues on from the half day, West out of Mugsayl taking the famous 'Zig-Zag Road' up through the mountains. The Zig-Zag Road is a remarkable feet of civil engineering which twists and turns up the sheer mountain sides. You will then continue along the coast road set high in the mountains with spectacular views to many deserted coves and beaches, continuing on this road right down to a view point at the Yemen border, before returning to your hotel.
